Spokane police arrested a man in connection with a homicide case dating back to 1986. The arrest was made possible through the use of DNA evidence, which linked the suspect to the crime.
The victim, 32-year-old Mary Ann Turner, was found strangled at the time of the incident. Investigators found probable cause to charge 74-year-old David Tibbett with Second Degree Murder. Tibbett was arrested Wednesday while investigators served a search warrant on his house.
Tibbett was booked into the Spokane County Jail, and detectives are still investigating the case.
