Spokane County Fire District 11 is requesting voter approval to renew its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) levy.
The levy, which is set for a six-year term, will appear on the November ballot. The district, which spans 70 square miles around Rockford, says the levy will maintain current service levels and avoid significant reductions.
If passed, the levy would collect 35 cents per $1,000 of assessed home value. The fire district says the levy makes up an integral portion of the budget, and if not renewed residents would see a reduction in services.
Voters have historically approved this levy renewal every six years.
