The Washington State Department of Transportation will begin repairs on the Northport bridge deck on State Route 25 starting Monday, October 12. The project is expected to last three weeks.

During this time, one lane of northbound traffic will be closed, and an automated traffic signal will be used to alternate traffic through the work zone. Travelers should anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes.

Work is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday until October 23, and Monday through Thursday until November 2. The traffic control will remain in place during non-working hours as well.

The repair work involves hydromilling to remove deteriorating portions of the road surface in the northbound lane. WSDOT says they will only repair the northbound lane this year.
