The MultiCare Rockwood clinic is closing the Access Clinic, the Dermatology Clinic and the Rockwood Eye Clinics by the end of 2026. MultiCare says the decision was made due to financial challenges.
The Access Clinic will close on October 27, 2026. MultiCare Dermatology will close on December 4, 2026. The Rockwood Eye Clinics, including MultiCare Rockwood Valley, Northpointe and Downtown Spokane locations, will close on December 31, 2026.
"Decisions that affect patients and employees are never made lightly," Kevin Maloney, MultiCare Spokesperson said. "MultiCare remains committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting the communities we serve during this transition."
INW News asked how many patients are expected to be impacted by the closures, but MultiCare did not include that information in their response.
Maloney said the closures will impact 83 employees. MultiCare said they will provide support and resources to affected employees and will reach out directly to patients impacted by these changes.
Despite these closures, the Downtown Spokane location will offer limited services for medical retinas through June 2027.
