A mother in Spokane has been charged following the death of her daughter, who was found alone in an overflowing bathtub. The incident prompted an investigation by local authorities.
A neighbor called 911 Sunday, Sept 20 when they saw water seeping from the apartment where the girl was found. Spokane Firefighters arrived and entered the apartment, and say nobody else was in the apartment at the time.
Officers arrested Travionna Johnson and charged her with manslaughter.
The circumstances surrounding how the child was left unattended are currently under investigation by the Spokane Police Department. Court records show Johnson told investigators that leaving her daughter unattended is not ordinary behavior.
