Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, launched the North Idaho Healthcare Education Center (HEC) to expand its healthcare education offerings. The center consolidates programs in nursing, radiography, and allied health, providing a centralized hub for students pursuing healthcare professions.
LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said the HEC will streamline existing programs and create space for new ones to address Idaho's critical healthcare education needs.
The center features a Mobile Healthcare Education Simulation Lab, funded by grants, to bring education and skills testing to students in rural areas. This initiative aims to make healthcare education more accessible and flexible, to meet the growing demand for healthcare professionals in the region.
