Donation fund established for Spokane deputies shot in Spangle

Two Spokane County Sheriff's deputies were shot while responding to a domestic violence incident in Spangle. The incident occurred at a residence on S. Smythe Road.

Deputy Perry and Deputy Acheson were taken to the hospital for critical injuries. One has since died from his injuries, and the other is on critical life support and not expected to survive.

The Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) is collecting donations to assist with funeral expenses and support the deputies' families. Donations can be made at any Canopy Credit Union branch, by debit card, or via Venmo.

The Spokane County Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude for the community's support and condolences during this difficult time.

Three other people died in the incident, including the shooter, 37-year-old Ryan Larson. The two other victims were 45-year-old Rebecca Larson and 72-year-old Suzanne Larson - the shooter's mother and sister.
