Feast World Kitchen chef identified as hit-and-run victim

A hit-and-run incident in Spokane on Monday evening resulted in the death 46-year-old Smaah Adam, who was a mother of six and a chef at Feast World Kitchen.

The restaurant posted on Facebook, with a bit of Smaah's backstory. She moved to the United States 10 years ago from Egypt and had been a chef at Feast World Kitchen for 5 years.

The restaurant is hosting an online fundraiser to raise money to support Smaah's children and help pay for funeral expenses.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and to identify the driver involved.
