EPA Completes 50% of Hazardous Material Removal in Eastern Washington

EPA has removed over 67,700 pounds of hazardous materials.

Cleanup began on August 18, 2026 and is now over 50% complete.

Approximately 250 personnel are working in the Spokane area.

The effort supports recovery for families affected by recent wildfires.
