The Bob Firman Cross Country Invitational wrapped up Saturday in Spokane Valley. More than 3,000 athletes competed from more than 100 different schools.
The event was hosted at The Course, a venue built in Spokane Valley specifically for cross country. This invitational was the first time many athletes were able to compete on The Course.
The invitational also brought in over 10,000 spectators, which the city of Spokane Valley says will contribute to the local economy.
The next 2-day invitational will be the Nike Cross Regional Northwest on November 20 and 21. In the meantime, several more collegiate and championship races will be at The Course through the Fall.
